LOCALISM: Ché Wax is a club night of electronic dance floor music at The Social, open for everyone and running until 3am. The night is Localism, a new Friday night round the corner with London's greatest DJs, free entry, great drinks, an amazing sound system and dance floor, no guest list, no VIPs and no rules. Behind the decks is Ché Wax, a multi-instrumentalist and remixer who mixes trippy eastern edits with electro squelchers and wonky broken beats with boogie, overdubbing synth FX and instruments live while exploring bruk, acid-house, psychedelia, dub, downtempo and electro grooves. He has written, produced and officially remixed for artists such as Confidence Man, Gabriels, The Sugarhill Gang, Jarvis Cocker, Happy Mondays and Simply Red, under aliases like 'Guevarism', 'The Emanations' and 'Mr Cryptic' on labels such as Fabric Records, Parlophone, Heavenly Recordings and Rough Trade Records.
