Lunchtime Book Club: discussing Kafka's The Castle.

The Lunchtime Book Club is a monthly discussion group meeting in the Bell Room, which is accessible. It is run by the Landmark Arts Centre. This session takes up Franz Kafka's The Castle, which follows K., a land surveyor arriving in a snowbound village to seek appointment from the elusive authorities in the nearby castle. His days become a maze of evasions, wary villagers and contradictory gatekeepers, as every attempt to reach the centre of power slips further away.
