The Merton Civic Service is an outdoor Remembrance Sunday service held outside the Nelson Health Centre, including the Last Post and the laying of wreaths at the War Memorial of the former Nelson Hospital. It is run by St Mary's Church, Merton Park, together with Merton Council, Rutlish High School and the Old Rutlishians Association, who mark Remembrance Sunday with three services that day. The collection supports the Royal British Legion.
