Mushroom Music (and Dance) Gig

Mushroom Music (and Dance) Gig is a live demonstration of music generated by plants and mushrooms. It is led by Brian d'Souza, known as DJ Auntie Flo, who has spent five years experimenting with making music from plants and fungi. Using plant biodata to trigger notes on a specially built modular synthesizer in a process called 'bionsonification', he crosses boundaries between the more-than-human fungal world and electronic music. The event is part of Being Human Festival, the UK's national festival of the humanities, led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London.
