Okkultist and HIGH: blackened death and doom metal live.

A metal gig in the basement of Cart & Horses in Stratford, headlined by Okkultist and joined by HIGH. Okkultist are a Portuguese blackened death metal outfit whose releases include Reinventing Evil and O.M.E.N., combining death metal aggression with blackened atmosphere and an occult identity. HIGH are UK heavyweights whose sound draws together doom, sludge, stoner metal and psychedelia with a blackened edge; their release Nice to Meet You features four sprawling tracks exploring dark imagery through extended compositions beyond the ten-minute mark. Together the line-up brings both the savage and slow-burning sides of underground metal to this intimate East London venue.
