About

Permacomputing Club is a weekly community gathering at a Peckham venue devoted to resilient, sustainable, low-tech alternatives to modern computing. It is organised by Ana Meisel and Margot McEwen and hosted every Monday evening at SET Social. Driven by anti-capitalist values and inspired by permaculture, degrowth, decolonial thinking and intersectional feminism, the club opposes tech monopolies and resource-heavy systems like AI. Sessions centre on collective discussion and hands-on repair rather than solo tinkering, and everyone is welcome, with women and non-binary folks particularly encouraged to join.
