Scottish Medicines Consortium online workshops are online courses giving a practical overview of the SMC submission process, run across two consecutive morning sessions. They are led by Dr Catriona McMahon, Lead Industry Member for SMC, and organised by the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, with a guest speaker from the SMC. The programme covers the submission types, the Ultra-Orphan Pathway, PACE and PAS revision, the Interim Acceptance option and the Fast Track Resubmission route, as well as how SMC makes decisions. The workshops are aimed at pharmaceutical companies and consultancies preparing or supporting submissions in 2026 and 2027, with a maximum of 16 participants per workshop.
