Shuko and the Ronins: high-energy retro roots music.

Shuko and the Ronins play a night of high-energy retro roots music at the speakeasy bar Ram Jam Records, a juke joint hidden behind the Smok'd pub at The Grey Horse in Kingston. The quintet is fronted by Shuko Fujita, backed by a collective of musicians who lean into a mix of rhythm, grit and boogie. Taking their name from the traditional meaning of a ronin, a masterless samurai or wandering drifter, they call themselves a gang of musicians with distinct styles who use their instruments as a katana to cut through noise. The venue hosts the greats of the Blues and Jazz scene every Saturday night.
