About
Songwriting Competition + Jam is a songwriting competition heat followed by an open jam session. Ram Jam, a speakeasy hidden behind the Smok'd pub at The Grey Horse Kingston, hosts its first songwriting competition on Mondays in November. Performers play two original songs of any genre for industry judges, with the winner of each heat going through to a live final on November 30th, where a first prize of £500 cash, a professional recording, Ram Jam merch, a year of Chicken Shop (or Vegan) Wednesday Deal and a trophy awaits. An open jam for all welcome follows from 10pm, and performances are recorded.
