SPC Seminar – Space – Domenico Trotta (ESA)

A free, open-to-all space physics seminar at Imperial College London titled 'SPC Seminar – Space – Domenico Trotta (ESA)'. The speaker is Domenico Trotta, a Research Fellow at the European Space Agency. His talk, 'Particle acceleration in the Heliosphere, from its most extreme shocks to its quietest times', examines how particle acceleration begins in the heliosphere, using Solar Orbiter observations of interplanetary shocks, electrons accelerated up to 15 MeV, and the mysterious suprathermal 'superhalo' electrons in the quiet solar wind. Entry is first come, first served, and a livestream is available.
