About

A free seminar on civil engineering, open to all with first-come-first-served entry. Dr Shady Adib, a civil engineering researcher who recently completed an I-X Global Early-Career AI Fellowship at Imperial College London, presents research on AI-enabled reconstruction of missing structural monitoring data. The talk compares conventional and generative methods for filling gaps in monitoring data, using earthquake-response measurements from a three-storey cross-laminated timber rocking-wall structure, and examines how recovered data affects Digital Twin predictions within the Self-Generating Digital Twin framework.
