About
The Comedy About Spies is an action-packed comedy thriller set in 1960s London, from the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong. Written by Henry Lewis and Henry Shields, directed by Matt Di Carlo and produced by Kenny Wax and Stage Presence in association with Jo Danvers, it comes from Mischief Theatre, founded in 2008 by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields. In the play, a rogue British agent steals the plans for a new top secret weapon, and spies from the CIA and KGB gather at the Piccadilly Hotel to find the mole and get the file back, until three actors auditioning for the first James Bond film, Dr No, arrive and things start to go very wrong. Expect a feast of misunderstandings, miscommunication and mistaken identity in a madcap farce full of slapstick humor.
