The Coven is a Halloween weekend at the Dalston pub The Three Compasses, running from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, with entry free all weekend. The pub is turning into The Coven with DIY tarot readings from decks borrowed at the bar, a cocktail fortunes menu that reveals your fate through your drink, and a Hex Wall where drinkers pin up curses on exes, landlords or the Overground. The pub will be lit in red and candlelight and draped in cobwebs, with occult burgers from Lagom, the pub's resident kitchen known for its smash burgers, and DJs playing Friday and Saturday from 9.30pm to 12.30am. Costumes are welcome but never required, with treats and shots for the best costumes and hexes, and the event is 18+.
