About

A hybrid talk examining why immigrants remain religious in some of the world's most secular societies, and how religiosity changes across immigrant generations in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Jacob Legault-Leclair, a post-doctoral researcher at UCL Social Research Institute, presents the findings. The evidence shows first-generation immigrants tend to be more religious than their children, and that religious change occurs mainly through intergenerational succession rather than gradual erosion. The event is aimed at researchers, policy makers and students interested in quantitative social sciences.
