The Shining
About
The All Out of Bubblegum Film Club screens THE SHINING (15), the legendary 1980 horror classic. The Torrance family head to The Overlook Hotel to spend the winter, but a big surprise is coming to them. A masterpiece by one of cinema's greatest directors, it has lost none of its capacity to shock, enthrall and disturb. The film will be introduced by film club organiser Joel.

Critics
8.1Very good
Critics praise the film's chilling atmosphere, suggestive music and gripping direction that made it a classic. Early reviewers faulted slow pacing, weak character connection and a supernatural plot lacking logic.
