The Spanish Civil War 90 Years on: Legacies and Lessons

A panel discussion marking ninety years since the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War and the formation of the International Brigades. It is jointly organised by the Marx Memorial Library & Workers' School and the International Brigade Memorial Trust. The speakers explore what the experience of Spain can teach the labour movement today on solidarity, internationalism and anti-fascism. The panel features Eddie Dempsey, General Secretary of the RMT, Noelia Sanchez, Chair of the PCE-GB, and Micaela Tracey-Ramos, UNISON Vice-President, with a chance to view items from the library's Spanish Collection in the Reading Room.
