A guided tour that explores the spaces beneath St Mary Magdalene's Church, taking visitors into the Undercroft and Chapel of St Sepulchre. The tour is run by Grand Junction at the church, whose subterranean sanctuary was created through inventive engineering and expressive Victorian design. The chapel is early work by the architect Sir Ninian Comper, created as a memorial to Fr West, the founder and first vicar who died in 1893. Its carved stone, stained glass, gilding and ornamental paintwork evoke the 15th century, and visitors can learn about this hidden gem's heritage and its recent restoration.
