About
Ugly is a live concert by the six-piece band of that name at Islington Assembly Hall, with support from Truthpaste and Max and Felix, presented by Bad Vibrations. Originating in Cambridge and now rooted in London, the sextet fuses sacred choral harmonies, sprawling post-rock and the melodic warmth of '60s and '70s folk-rock. Their songwriting is an exercise in contrast, new ideas and the rejection of convention, seeking to represent all six of the group's distinct voices. The event is open to ages 16 and over.
