Haejin Park: Imaginer, new abstract watercolour paintings.

Imaginer is an exhibition of new paintings by Haejin Park, presented by Victoria Miro Projects as the thirteenth in its series of invitations to international artists. Park, a Connecticut-based artist, works in watercolour, spilling and throwing colour across canvas and paper so that painting becomes a negotiation between intention and chance. In Imaginer she returns to abstract figuration, with forms representing the artist and her family, recurring motifs of eyes, circles and flowers, and imagined worlds and inner visions. The exhibition is accompanied by an essay by Lucy Mercer and poems written and recorded by Park to accompany selected works.
