ZSL's Zoo Plaque Trail
London Zoo, Regent's Park, NW1 4RY London, St. John's Wood
About
ZSL's Zoo Plaque Trail is a trail of blue plaques dotted throughout London Zoo, marking spots where history was made, from scientific discoveries to pop culture moments. It was created by ZSL as part of its 200th anniversary celebrations and honours the exceptional people, beloved animals, and even fictional characters who have played unforgettable roles in ZSL history. The trail is open until 31 December 2026 and includes plaques for figures such as Charles Darwin, David Attenborough, Guy the Gorilla, Winnie, and Harry Potter's Reptile House scene, plus one unnamed plaque acknowledging hidden voices whose contributions were never recorded.
