12 ANGRY ELECTRICS
La MaMa, East 4th Street 66, 10003 New York, Manhattan
About
"12 ANGRY ELECTRICS" is a solo theatre show, part of the Poetry Electric series, running about 70 minutes. Written and performed by Emmy Award winning William Electric Black (aka Ian Ellis James), it takes on Sidney Lumet's film "12 Angry Men" with one performer playing all 12 jurors. The show weaves in other real jury trials — Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Rittenhouse and more — to ask what justice in America means, with guest speakers leading a pre-show talk and a talkback after.
