About
Afternoon Action is a chess tournament held at club, a three-round event with games at a 25-minute time control with a 5-second delay. It is run by the Marshall Chess Club, whose tournament director may split the field into two sections to balance ratings. The tournament is USCF rated, with prizes of $75 and $50 based on ten entries, and players may request one bye at entry. Registration closes 30 minutes before the start.
