Beetlejuice
About
A haunted-house comedy about a brooding teen relocated by her parents to a creaky country house inhabited by unquiet spirits, who are egged on in mischief-making by a ghost with the most whose hidden motives are rather more malevolent. Directed by Tim Burton, it stars Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Michael Keaton. The film has been called a bugaboo farce with a kid's delight in the homegrown surreal, and Keaton is said to have never been so uninhibited a comic.

Critics
7.5Very good
Critics praise the film's striking visual invention, dark comic energy and Keaton's wildly uninhibited performance. They fault an uneven second half, overbearing slapstick and weaker supporting characters.
