About
Disco Turco presents Seran Bilgi “Turkish Pop Night” is a pop and Turkish music night at Drom in New York City. The singer Seran Bilgi began her international career in 2009, when American arranger, conductor and producer Kim Scharnberg invited her to New York to sing for Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn, lyricist Jack Murphy and music director Jason Howland, who were impressed with her vocal quality, technique and interpretations. She has been the featured soloist for sold-out concerts with the Turkish State Symphonies in İzmir, Istanbul, Eskişehir, Bursa, Antalya and Adana, and a guest soloist in London, Amsterdam, Vienna and Ulm, Germany. Wildhorn, who wrote the Whitney Houston hit “Where Do Broken Hearts Go?”, penned two songs with Turkish lyricist Zeynep Talu especially for her, which are being recorded in New York.
