English Country Dance*

An evening of English Country Dance, a classic social dance developed in England through the 18th century and carried to the American colonies, where it was popular among the founding fathers and mothers and common people alike. Historical Interpreter Jeffrey Cavorley teaches the art of the dance, and no experience is necessary beyond bringing your dancing shoes. The program welcomes novices and experienced dancers of all ages, and alternate spaces may be used for people with disabilities or access needs.
