“From Memory to Hope: A Service of Poetry and Prayer to Honor the Ancestors.”
Saint Mark's in-the-Bowery, East 10th Street 131, 10003 New York, Manhattan
About
A special All Saints' Day service of poetry, prayer, and song to honor and celebrate loved ones who have been lost and whose lives continue to inspire. It is a collaborative presentation by St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery, NEWorks Productions, the People's Poetry Gathering, and Of the People: The Smithsonian Festival of Festivals, weaving together Episcopal liturgy and original music by composer Nolan Williams, Jr., performed by the NEWorks Voices of America, the St. Mark's Choir, and the gathered assembly. Open to the public, the service lifts voices in remembrance and gratitude, celebrating the love, courage, and hope that connect us across generations.
