Hanna Somatic Education: Continued Exploration
Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Manhattan
About
A gentle movement class in Hanna Somatic Education, a safe and intuitive approach to relaxing chronically tight and painful muscles that can make daily movements harder, cause pain, and affect balance. It is co-presented by Bianca Lee, board certified in neuromusculoskeletal medicine, and Lisa Tatham, a certified Hanna Somatic Educator. Participants explore Hanna Somatic Exercises, often done lying on the floor but also possible from a chair, to get out of pain and regain ease and joy in movement. Some experience is preferred but not mandatory, and newcomers are pointed to the introductory course.
