About

A hands-on workshop at the design museum exploring the language of materials through bioplastics and bioglass. It is led by Fan Kong, an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Queens, New York City, whose practice includes biomaterial experimentation, installations, and public programs. Inspired by Gaetano Pesce's Nobody's Perfect chair, the session looks at how designers and scientists have reimagined materials as active, transformative systems. Participants learn to make kitchen-friendly bioplastics, visit the galleries, and create their own stained bioglass samples.
