Jazz & Gin: A Speakeasy Soirée is a night of hot jazz, cocktails and dancing at a former 1920s Brooklyn speakeasy, now an elegant art nouveau salon. Prohibition Productions puts on the monthly soirée, featuring NYC swing bands and swing DJs, classic burlesque, craft cocktails and a free dance lesson. The Urbane Arts Club offers a 1,200 sq ft ballroom with wooden floors, a lounge and gallery, a garden patio, and live music on the porch. During Prohibition, hooch was smuggled through a tunnel in the basement from the illicit distillery next door.
