La Manga: Afro-Colombian drums and songs by four women.

La Manga is a live music performance by a Brooklyn-based collective at Bar LunAtico. The group draws on the spirit and ancestry of cultural traditions from Colombia's Caribbean coast, such as Bullerengue, Cumbia and Tambora. Four women perform on Tambor Alegre, maracas, Tambora and llamador, honoring Black and Indigenous oral traditions through tambores Afro-Colombianos, storytelling and bailes cantaos. The collective has been featured in The New York Times and has played venues including Joe's Pub, MoMA PS1 and the Bronx Music Heritage Center.
