About
Le Carrousel is a carousel in Bryant Park where visitors can take a whirl among 14 delightful creatures or become the charioteer. It was specially created to complement the park and its French classical style, and is an homage to both European and American carousel traditions. The animals, replicas of classic carousel creatures, revolve to the sounds of French cabaret music. The rounding boards, inspired by the park's baroque-style torchères along 40th Street, blend into the canopy of its London plane trees.
