About

A book launch at a Brooklyn bookshop for Melanie Gall's "Fire Witch: Kate Claxton and the 1876 Brooklyn Theatre Inferno," a biography of the famed Gilded Age actor whose name became tied to the 1876 Brooklyn Theatre fire. Gall will read from the book, then talk with Arthur Scinta, historian and author of the forthcoming "Brooklyn Ashes." The evening continues with an audience Q&A, a book signing, and a reception.
