National Theatre Live: August-November 2026

National Theatre Live: August-November 2026 is a series of recorded theatre broadcasts screening at IFC Center, bringing productions from the acclaimed British theatre company National Theatre Live to the cinema. The series presents performances of noted classics and important contemporary plays, offering the chance to experience the work of some of the UK's most accomplished theatre artists. Each encore broadcast is originally filmed in front of a live audience, with cameras carefully positioned throughout the auditorium to give cinema audiences the 'best seat in the house' view. National Theatre Live launched in June 2009 with a broadcast of Phèdre with Helen Mirren and has since broadcast productions to millions of people around the world.
