About
Othello (presented by Bedlam) is a stripped-down staging of Shakespeare's tragedy, named by The New York Times among the 10 Most Mind-Altering Theater Moments of 2026 (So Far) and returning for a limited three-week engagement. It is directed by Eric Tucker, who also performs, with Susannah Hoffman, Susannah Millonzi and Ryan Quinn: four actors play all the roles without changing costumes. The story follows the evil Iago's plot to drive his general, Othello, insane, tangled among Venetians, Moors and Cypriots. The Wall Street Journal calls it "a remarkably effective four-actor production of the classic tragedy".
