Pastor & People Bible Study

Pastor & People Bible Study is a Wednesday evening Bible study and reflection time held on Zoom. The Rev. Moore leads it, taking an honest look at some of the most troubling texts in 1 Corinthians, asking whose voices Paul's letters leave out and how his words have been used against Black people and the Black church. Drawing on womanist and Black liberationist scholarship and the church's own history, each session pairs careful study with practical steps for how we live, lead, and believe, alongside the Sunday preaching series 'Living for the City.' All are welcome, and no preparation is needed, just an open Bible and an open mind.
