Queer Konpa

Queer Konpa is a Haitian Bolero versus Bachata dance class followed by a social with Afro-Latin and Caribbean music. It is hosted at Starr Bar and celebrates the rich culture of Hispaniola, with the bachata section taught by a guest instructor. Organizers invite attendees to remember that joy is an act of resistance.
