About
Random Strangers Jam is a fully improvised psychedelic funk and rock open jam session held every Monday at Shrine World Music Venue in Harlem. It is led by Sky Demetri and his band: every 5-7 minutes, half the band is replaced by musicians from the audience, who jam on a fresh key and concept in a continuously rotating group of random strangers. Drums, keys, mics, amps and a PA/DI are provided; jammers should bring all other instruments and must sign in on the sign up sheet, available in person 15 minutes before the jam. Admission is free.
