Senior Science: Dragonfly Mission to Tit...

A virtual science talk for seniors about NASA's Dragonfly mission, an 8-bladed rotorcraft designed to explore Titan, Saturn's largest and richly organic moon. Dr. Shannon MacKenzie of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory leads a discussion on the mission, scheduled for launch in 2027 and arrival in 2034. Dragonfly will fly like a drone across dozens of sites on Titan's icy surface, using the moon's dense nitrogen-rich atmosphere to search for the building blocks of life. Attendees can bring questions and join the session on Zoom.
