About
A social skills group for children led by a licensed art therapist, offering social and emotional support to help kids socialize, establish friendships, and learn problem-solving skills in social situations. It is run as part of the Israeli Hug Center at Congregation Rodeph Sholom and is aimed at Hebrew-speaking Israeli children aged 4 to 16, divided into groups by age, who need strengthening in emotional and social skills and in bridging cultural gaps. In a small, inclusive setting, children practice social tasks through play, creation, and fun, learning to understand and solve social situations and develop social play and emotional-social conversation. The group is led by Karen Yuval, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist with a master's degree in drama therapy from New York University and experience leading children's groups in therapeutic programs in New York.
