Sticky Situations: theatre conference on awkward truths.

"Sticky Situations : Bodies / Pleasures / Perturbations" is the GC CUNY Student DTSA Conference, a theatre student conference held at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. It is co-presented by The Segal Theatre Center and asks scholars to reflect on how Theatre and Performance Studies engage artistic, scholarly, and methodological entanglements in order to reckon with the messy present. The conference takes its name from the idea that "sticky situations" are those awkward, sensitive, or "cringe" encounters people usually avoid, and asks what happens when we refuse to circumnavigate them and instead purposefully choose to get stuck.
