Tatiana Eva Marie: Jazz in Paris

This is a jazz concert titled 'Tatiana Eva Marie: Jazz in Paris' at the Birdland Theater. The singer Tatiana Eva-Marie, a Brooklyn-based bandleader, singer, and actress nicknamed 'the Gypsy-jazz Warbler' by the New York Times, leads the evening. Known for leading the Avalon Jazz Band, she draws on her French and Balkan heritage, a love for the Parisian art scene of the 1920s to the 60s, Gypsy music, and the Great American Songbook. In this show she explores the music of Django Reinhardt, Sidney Bechet, Cole Porter, and other composers at the origins of French jazz, adding her own original lyrics and arrangements.
