Author and New York Magazine writer Rachel Corbett joins Peter Mendelsund for a conversation about criminal profiling, journalism and the creative process. Corbett is the author of The Monsters We Make (W.W. Norton, 2025) and You Must Change Your Life (W.W. Norton, 2016), which won the Marfield Prize. Mendelsund is the author of seven books, including What We See When We Read and Cover. The talk is hosted and introduced by poet J. Mae Barizo and presented by the Creative Writing Program at The New School for Social Research.
