The Pioneers
Terra Blues, Bleecker Street 149, Manhattan
About
The Pioneers are a band performing an evening of electric music at Terra Blues. The group began at that venue in the early 1990s as the backup band for Moe Holmes, former alto and tenor voice of the Holmes Brothers, and was made up of rotating talented musicians. After Moe Holmes's death in 2008, the current lineup of Jr Mack, Barry Harrison, Derek Dupuis on keys, and Cameron Carrus on bass carries on in his footsteps. When other duties call anyone away, Hayden Fogle on guitar and vocals or Eric Cohen on guitar steps in, and the band plays until 2 AM.
