WQXR Presents: Igor Levit

WQXR Presents: Igor Levit is an evening of piano performance and conversation with the pianist Igor Levit, held in person with a free livestream. Levit, called by The New York Times one of the most important artists of his generation and by The New Yorker a pianist like no other, explores his career, life, and his new record label No Silence, launched in partnership with Sony Classical. The event comes just days after the label's first three releases, featuring works by Satie, Beethoven, and Schoenberg played by Levit, plus the debut album of BBC Next Generation Artist Lukas Sternath with works by Schubert and Liszt. Levit performs selections from his recordings, and WNYC and WQXR's John Schaefer hosts.
