About
A travelling exhibition marking the 125th anniversary of the Chorverband Berlin can be seen at the Ingeborg-Drewitz-Bibliothek. As the representative body of Berlin's amateur choral scene, the association brings together more than 350 of Berlin's choirs and, as the capital's largest amateur music organisation, looks back on 125 years this year. The exhibition reviews the association's history, with local choirs bringing it to life and connecting it to the present. It explores how Berlin, its districts and Steglitz-Zehlendorf sound – from jazz standards and folk songs to an Australian canon and a Romanian lullaby.
