"A Seed Story" is an interactive theatre game in which twelve players in Berlin meet two performers in New Delhi via screen transmission. It comes from the Berlin game-theatre collective machina eX, working with the Indian theatre group Tadpole Repertory for the first time. At its centre is the biochemist Sonali Kadam, who develops a "super rice" at her genetic engineering start-up "Soma-Terra" until the company loses sight of its ethical principles. With robots and doubled props, a fast-paced cat-and-mouse game emerges about genetic engineering and the question of how food can be secured in the climate crisis.
