About
Afrikamera is a film festival presenting current African cinema. It aims to show the diverse, inspiring, pioneering and sometimes contradictory perspectives on society and politics of the African continent. The 2026 edition runs under the motto "Reflect", addressing the effects of colonialism on the ecological balance, the exploitation of nature by unscrupulous companies, climate change and the struggle for resources. From 2024 to 2027 the festival focuses on the four successive themes Believe, Change, Reflect and Create.
