A documentary theatre piece for ages 9 and up, recommended for grades 4 to 6. It is based on the memoirs of Irene Grumach-Shirun, written down by Jill Levenfeld, performed by Josephine Hock and directed by Hannes Kapsch. The story is told from the perspective of a teddy bear named 'Bär' who is over a hundred years old and witnessed the life of a Jewish child under the Nazi dictatorship. Long-sealed rooms come back to life through shadow play and sound; the morning show is followed by a discussion, and the piece won the IKARUS Fachjury 2025 prize in the children's theatre category.
