About
An improvisation concert at Morphine Raum, a studio and project space in Berlin-Kreuzberg curated by Rabih Beaini. It brings together Beam Splitter, a Berlin duo for amplified voice, trombone and analog electronics, and Alex Zhang Hungtai, a New York-based multidisciplinary artist focused on improvisation and its correlation with the unconscious. Zhang, formerly behind the project Dirty Beaches, now works predominantly with saxophone, drums and electronics, while Beam Splitter have developed a distinct, raw yet intimate brand of highly amplified dialogue since 2015. The concert sits within the programme of Morphine Records' Raum, which hosts sound works and presentations.
