About
In the Bōki-an tea house at the Museum für Asiatische Kunst in the Humboldt Forum, the Chadō Urasenke Teeweg-Verein Berlin offers insights into traditional Japanese tea gatherings. “Bōki” literally means “forgetting everyday affairs”. Against outstanding works of painting, graphic art, ceramics and lacquer works, the culture of the way of tea can be experienced. The tea gathering can be watched during a tour of the exhibition, but the tea house itself cannot be entered; the duration is 45 minutes.
